I devoured this book! Carlos wasn't around in this book, so Jules was more independent. The mystery was fun to follow, and I couldn't figure out who the murderer was until very close to the end. The characters are vivid and full of life, and the setting is stunning. Ellie Alexander's descriptions paint a very clear picture of Ashland, Oregon and daily life at Torte. 

Side note: The recipes in this book sound DELICIOUS!

When Mindy Nolan, the owner of a new restaurant in town, turns up dead, the batter at hand thickens. Jules knows there was bad blood between Mindy and others in town, and tracking down the killer could prove to be an unwelcome treat.
